How to Become a WIFS Member

Dues

• Annual National Dues- WIFS National annual dues for 2012 are $200.00 if paid all at once. If paid in monthly installments, National annual dues are $18 per month, charged automatically to your credit card each month. Learn more about paying your annual National dues on a monthly basis.

• Chapter dues vary by chapter and are in addition to National dues (all chapter members must also pay national dues). Chapter dues must be paid when you join/renew.

• Subsidized Membership Dues- Members that are contracted career agents of a current Corporate Partner receive a 50% national dues subsidy. National annual dues for these members is $100.00 ($9 per month if paid in installments). Chapter dues are not subsidized.

Other Membership Types 

Student Membership: In 2012, WIFS is pleased to continue our Student Membership. Students may join at no charge for up to two years (students must still pay local chapter dues if they choose to join a local chapter). Proof of student status is required. Download the 2012 Student Membership App

In-transition membership: This membership type is open to women not currently employed, and who are considering pursuing a career in insurance or financial services. Download the PDF In-Transition Membership Application 2012

• National dues will be discounted 50%
• Chapter dues are not discounted
• In-transition membership is valid for one year
• Proof of unemployment may be requested
• Please contact the National Office for more information on this membership option

A New Option for National Dues: Monthly Dues Payments 

introduced in February 2011

The all new monthly payment option allows you to spread out the cost of your national annual membership over the course of the year. If you opt to pay this way, your credit card will be automatically charged each month.  

How to sign up for monthly payments:*

• Choose "Join Now (monthly payment)" under "Membership" or  log in and choose "Renew (monthly payment)" under "Members Only" (tabs along the top of the page)
• Pay your local Chapter dues & the first installment of your National dues up front.
• The remaining monthly installments (11) will be charged to your credit card automatically each month.
  
• National dues installments are $18 per month, subsidized members pay $9 per month**
• You can still pay in full up front (the money saving option!) by choosing "Join Now (Annual Payment)" or "Renew (Annual Payment)"  (must be logged in).
